With origins dating back to the 13th century, Mousehole witnessed an invasion by the Spanish Armada, lending its name to one of our highest jump sections, known as ‘The Spaniard’, this dramatic stretch of coastline showcases a gully that appears as if it could have been carved out of the cliff during an invasion. It features jumps ranging from 3 to 8 meters high.
In 1981, the RNLI lifeboat Solomon Brown tragically sank while attempting to rescue a stranded boat off Lands End, garnering national attention. Today, the lifeboat station stands as a poignant reminder of history and discovery.
